Congratulations to IB1 student Jad T. for the excellent performance in the Harvard Model United Nations 2020 where he won the Outstanding Delegate Award. 

Jad took part in the Harvard Model United Nations Conference where he travelled to Boston, MA in the USA taking place in the Sheraton Hotel. Around 4,800 students from across the world took part in this conference. Jad discussed “urban development and informal settlements” representing the country of El-Salvador. This 4-day conference discussed this modern issue and resulted in Jad receiving an Outstanding Delegate Award which carries with it a certification that can be applied to his student profile and used for extracurricular activities when applying to University. Jad’s individual committee consisted of 88 delegates and he was one of 7 total recipients of an award. Jad was also selected as a finalist for a social impact project at Harvard University where he submitted artwork on the subject of “Globalization Through Diplomacy.” Jad furthered his skills in communication, negotiation, and working in a team atmosphere to achieve success in these projects.
