Dear Parents,

I hope that you and your children are well and continuing to manage in the difficult situation in which we all find ourselves.  The school year has begun online for Grades 10, 11 and 12 and we continue to plan for the return of all other students over the coming weeks.  I have outlined below how we are taking matters forward.  We cannot please everyone but the shape of school arrangements is designed to mitigate health risks and to provide the best education possible for the students.

Arrangements to mitigate risk and other matters concerning the return to school

We have been holding meetings at school, involving the Medical Department and other Key Staff to determine means of arrival to and departure from school, to consider school resources such as sanitisers, detail of the cleaning of buildings and facilities, and to establish how the school will operate while under hybrid conditions.

I would remind parents that class sizes will be limited to 15, and students should bring a fresh, clean mask to school every day as well as their own water/food as required.

We shall produce a comprehensive list of “do’s, and “donts” which will explain exactly how the school will operate in hybrid conditions.  All teachers will be trained in advance and will instruct students on how they should behave.

Parents should expect a number of emails from Senior Staff in the coming days with important information about the School’s operation from September 28th onwards.

I would ask you to read carefully all emails which you receive since they will explain how we shall work to keep your children as safe as possible while providing them with a really good educational experience.

I shall continue to keep you fully informed.  Please contact Heads of Section, the Vice Principal Academic or the Vice Principal Pastoral or me by email, if you have specific questions.

There will be challenges ahead but together we shall overcome them, God willing.

Yours sincerely,

David Gray
