International Fundraising Group

In the afternoon of Tuesday, 8 March, Principal David Gray joined Trustees of QuIET and Georgette Hamaty, US fundraising expert, along with Richard Bampfylde and Raymond Feghali, Marketing Manager and Bursar respectively, for a meeting of the international fundraising group. Principal Gray was able to provide an update to the group on the state of affairs in Brummana High School and Lebanon. The group also considered the North American Campaign (Teachers 4 Teachers), the establishment of a legacy society, the development of a strategy for planned giving, legal issues in relation to establishing an endowment fund, planned actions in the Gulf, preparation for the traditional QuiIET July Summer Appeal in the UK and the preparation for a campaign for volunteer teachers to join on campus in Brummana. It was also discussed how to streamline international postage, further reducing financial costs of sending resources. Thanks to the Sponsor A Book campaign run by Friends of BHS, five packages have now arrived from the UK of books and other resources and more are on their way as donated by Quaker Meetings and other Friends of the school.
