The Art Department at Brummana High School proudly presented Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in a captivating production performed by a talented cast of students from both the Intermediate and Secondary sections.

Staged in the school’s beautiful amphitheatre, the performance benefited from a breathtaking natural setting that perfectly complemented Shakespeare’s enchanting tale of love, magic, and mischief. Surrounded by trees and open skies, the venue created an immersive atmosphere that echoed the mystical woodland where much of the play unfolds, adding an authentic and memorable dimension to the production.

The students delivered an exceptional performance, bringing Shakespeare’s timeless comedy to life with remarkable confidence, energy, and skill. Their expressive acting, carefully choreographed movement, and strong stage presence reflected months of dedicated rehearsals and artistic commitment. One of the most impressive aspects of the production was the cast’s confident delivery of Shakespeare’s 16th Century English, making the rich language both engaging and accessible for the audience.

The production was further enhanced by beautifully designed costumes, thoughtful staging, and creative use of the amphitheatre’s unique space. Every element worked together to transport the audience into Shakespeare’s magical world, where rulers, lovers, and spirits intertwined in a plot that continues to intrigue audiences centuries after it was written.

From the opening scene to the final curtain call, the audience remained captivated, responding with laughter, admiration, and enthusiastic applause. The performance stood as a testament not only to the students’ talent and creativity but also to their perseverance, teamwork, and passion for the performing arts.

The success of the production was made possible through the guidance and dedication of Mrs. Mey El Hajjar, whose direction inspired the cast to deliver a performance of remarkable quality, whose vision and hard work brought every aspect of the production together. Special recognition also goes to Audrey M. El A., Stage Manager, and Neddy A. G., Backstage Crew and prompter, whose dedication behind the scenes ensured the smooth running of the performance.
