Celebration of The Life of Hani Aboul Jabine

On Saturday, 21 January, in the afternoon, Principal David Gray attended and spoke at the memorial service in celebration of the life of the late BHS Chairman of the Board, Hani Aboul Jabine. There were over a hundred and fifty people in attendance including Hani’s family and friends, Governors of the school and Trustees of QuIET, teachers and staff, Old scholars, and students. Tributes were also given by a number of other speakers representing Hani’s family, QuIET, the Governing Body, and Hani’s many friends and fellow Old Scholars. Rayan El Turk of Grade 8 played before and after the service, and during the service played Chopin’s Nocturne Opus 9, quite beautifully. All credit to him. The event was very dignified and the family were pleased that it brought together the various aspects of the life of a man who had made a significant difference to the lives of others.
