Fundraising Update

Some of the school’s Trustees and the Principal, Bursar and Marketing Manager met online again on Monday night as part of the QuIET/BHS fundraising group. Now joining these meetings is Friend of the school, Georgette Hamaty, who holds great work experience in the field of fundraising in North America, the majority of which was within educational institutions. New developments include adverts placed in The Friend magazine for the Friends of BHS group, which is proving popular so with several Quakers interested and ready to support the school, and who are due to meet online October 28th at 4pm. The school is very grateful in particular to Trustee John Crosfield who will be leading this group for now, before one of the Friends takes over the responsibility. Also discussed was the opportunity to gather with Old Scholars in the Dubai at the end of November, with the support of OSA President Nazih Khattar, when there may also be an opportunity to visit Muscat for an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, himself an Old Scholar of the school in the late 60s.
