IGCSE Orientation Evening

Principal David Gray and Georges Rizkallah, the Vice Principal Academic and Caline Kouyoumjian, the Head of Careers, went down to Khoury Hall on the evening of Wednesday, 22 February. There, the Principal led the grade 8 IP orientation which was an introduction to IGCSE’s which current students in Grade 8 IP will be embarking on in grade 9 in September. They had already been addressed earlier in the week on the implications of selection of subjects for study with regard to careers and in the weeks ahead they will be addressed by staff on a variety of subjects which may be new to them and which they may be interested in taking up. By the end of April they will, after discussion with their parents and with teachers, and having carried out a lot of research with the help of their Advisors, be able to select appropriate subjects for study over the next 2 years. Principal Gray is very grateful indeed to all Heads of Departments and teachers of IGCSE subjects for their attendance at the Orientation evening, advising parents and students on the content and manner of teaching and learning in their subject areas at IGCSE.
