Intermediate students were provided an in-depth, worthwhile, engaging and interactive session on cyberbullying on Monday, March 29th. After Mr Gray shared some words on how pleased he is with how Intermediate students have pulled through this long, three-month term positively and successfully despite the many obstacles they have faced, Ms Rima welcomed the three organisations and multiple presenters joining from the American University of Beirut. From Together Against Cyberbullying Campaign, Joanna Abou Khazaa (BHS Old Scholar), Sara Ghanem and Karine Kfoury, from Lebanon For You, Luna Baalbaki (BHS Old Scholar) and Ghida Allam, and from Be Brave Beirut, Nour al Hassan, all joined to share their knowledge and advice on this extremely important topic. The students listened to the well-prepared presentations and then participated in a fun game on Kahoot designed to further cement new-found knowledge, hosted by Ms Abou Khazaa. At the end, Ms Rima thanked the presenters for their time and input, helping students to understand much better the trials and tribulations of cyberbullying and what actions they can take against cyberbullies and the concept of cyberbullying in general.
