Dear Christian,
Thank you very much for your email and for all the efforts you have made together with your staff on behalf of Brummana High School. It is fantastic that you managed to raise so much from the online quiz and from hat/flag day at school. This is going to make a substantial difference to the education of a number of children who, as a result, will be able to continue or complete their education at Brummana High School and go on to make a difference in society. You have no idea just how much this will mean to them. Please pass on my gratitude to all those who raised funds, whether staff, students or parents. God bless you all.
I also want to say a huge thanks to you for renewing our JSTOR subscription and for sourcing and sending so many books to us which are an absolute life line to us, especially as the rate of the lire to the dollar is now fluctuating between 16,000 and 20,000 while in January 2020 it was a mere 1,500.
We are surviving here but life is very difficult for many people including our own staff.
However children need to be educated and we shall soldier on, whatever the odds. Acts of material kindness, such as you and your colleagues and students and parents have demonstrated, keep us going. Thank you.
I hope that you have a great summer.
Yours,
David Gray
