The BHS Model UN club has done it again, breaking new records and making us proud, regardless of any circumstances. Over the past weekend, the Middle School and High School delegations to LAU’s Model Arab League (MAL) came back with promising and astonishing results!

Model Arab League is a simulation program where students from different schools in Lebanon participate and represent different Arab countries within the Arab League, consisting of 22 countries overall. Delegates debated topics that are up to date in the Arab region today, from tourism in the times of a pandemic, to corruption, to equal access to online learning, and so on. The High School delegation represented the State of Qatar each in different committees, and results were as follows:

  • Best Delegate: Stephanie Z.
  • Honorable Mention: Leona H., Ryan F.
  • Country Statement: Carina H., Selina R.
  • Best Improvement: Jad A., Richard S.

As for Middle School, each delegate represented a different Arab country but in the same committee, with recipients of awards being:

  • Best Delegate: Ryan E.
  • Country Statement: Danielle S.

We are very proud of them! Here’s to more!
