In the evening of Friday 27 May, I joined members of Grade 12 and of the committee of the OSA led by the General Manager, Serene Musallem, at the amphitheatre where there was a splendid meal provided by Abdo Trad and the catering staff. Speeches were made by members of the OSA and by me welcoming Grade 12 graduates into the Old Scholars Association. It was a beautiful warm evening and it seemed that everybody had a good time. The OSA must be thanked for their thoughtfulness in the way in which they welcomed new students into the organization, made awards to them, encouraged their involvement and participation in the OSA and, on this occasion, made an extremely generous donation for the Grade 12 Prom which came from the members of the OSA and from the President himself, Mr. Nazih Khattar, whose, speech in his absence, for the students was read out by Serene Musallem. It was also very pleasant to be at an outdoor event with lots of people for the first time in several years and it was good to reacquaint myself with members of the OSA whom I had not seen for a very long time. I am very grateful to those staff who provided music, refreshments, sound and lighting so that the event could take place comfortably.
