The school would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Ipsos Foundation for their most generous support of bursaries in the next academic year. More news on specific details to follow but for now we can say that with this grant a new programme of bursaries will be activated in 2022-23, with a focus on civics and sustainability, to support many students and their families. Substantial bursary support like this ensures that, despite the devastating economic challenges in present day Lebanon, no student will be left behind, with each and every one still having access to a high quality BHS education.

Brummana High School would like to take this opportunity to also highlight the very supportive roles of Ipsos staff – Lebanon CEO Joseph Habre and MENA Communications Director Dalia Ghawi. Without their attention, consideration and support, including a presentation they delivered to the Ipsos Foundation two weeks ago, it is very unlikely this very positive news story would be being shared right now.

The success of this grant was a whole BHS team effort, led by Kareen Farhat, Head Girl, and Richard Bampfylde, Marketing Manager, both of whom met with Joseph earlier this year. Indeed, Kareen was the one who wrote the initial letter to the Foundation, taking the time to prepare an excellent letter delivered to Group CEO Ben Page. Several other members of the BHS community played a considerable role including Friends of BHS convenor Sarah Barrett, Principal David Gray and Bursar Raymond Feghali. The school is also grateful, as always, for the support of the Board of Governors and QuIET Trustees.
