Maths classes give students the opportunity to engage in hands-on projects, receive individual attention from instructors, present their work to their peers and participate in discussions.
We emphasise effective learning by making class activities both enjoyable and intriguing through flipped learning activities, investigations, performance tasks, differentiation and group work. Moreover, we encourage students to ask questions, and we instill in them a sense of curiosity to find answers by themselves.
In fact, logical thinking, critical analysis and the testing of hypotheses are at the heart of our learning approach. These methods, combined with an atmosphere of creative expression, endow our students with a strong desire to learn and the requisite skills to make informed decisions and meaningful discoveries.
We make Maths accessible to our diverse student body. Our curricula span various programmes (Lebanese, British, and International Baccalaureate).
Support in Maths is offered within school hours to ensure that gaps in knowledge and understanding are filled appropriately.
Mathematics is a language of order and patterns. Though it may be a specific subject, it has broad applications, especially in engineering, medicine, finance, business, computer science, architecture, law and psychological testing.
We are proud of Maths students who participate and win prizes at numerous fairs and competitions i.e. Math Kangaroo competition or universities competitions such as at AUB, LAU, and AUST and we hope that our passion for Maths will always be a source of inspiration.
