Physical Education

The Physical Education (PE) curriculum aims to increase students’ self – confidence through an ability to manage themselves successfully in a variety of situations. A balance of individual and team activities, with cooperation and competition very evident, aims to cater for individual students’ needs and abilities. Progressive learning objectives allow for varied and flexible teaching styles, stimulating and challenging students in an enjoyable learning environment for all grade levels.

The PE programme gives our children the chance to participate in a range of psycho-motor / movement activities in order to develop personal physical skills. BHS students are made aware of their body in relation to others as well as their immediate environment. They understand the physiological changes that occur to their bodies during exercise. The curriculum gives the opportunity to students to develop personal characteristics like initiative, self-reliance and self-discipline. The sports extra-curricular programme affords students the opportunity to progress their physical development through a vast range of activities.
