In-Service Day Training

On November 27, 2020, BHS presented a very worthwhile In-Service Training Day online where teachers took part in a series of workshops and discussions on a rich variety of topics such as flipped learning, technical writing, tools for engaging lessons, Nearpod, Flipgrid, leadership and management, assessments, the unconscious between teachers and students, crisis debriefing, child protection and more.

The topics of the workshops presented attendees with new knowledge and tools to help them make their online lessons as interactive and engaging as in-person. They also catered to the different interests and needs within the BHS community. 

On top of professional development, the day also presented teachers with the opportunity to interact socially with teachers they know and others new to the BHS community. Work groups were made up of teachers of different subjects, grade levels and backgrounds to help build cross-departmental connections and strengthen collaboration across sections and subjects.
