#BHSSupports is in full swing. Over 30% of the goal has been raised so far with over 40 parents participating, as we aim to raise $250,000 and with a target of 149 supporters (the age of the school!). Please see Principal David Gray’s email yesterday. All other members of the community are very welcome to support our amazingly dedicated teachers and support staff too. Options for supporting can be found by clicking here, including opportunities for UK Gift Aid and US 501(c)(3) tax-deductible gift options. In achieving the appeal goal, each teacher and support staff member will receive an additional $100 per month for the whole academic year to come (2022-23) in response to the extremely challenging economic situation in Lebanon, enabling them to afford fuel, medicines and other essential items.

Dear Parents,

I write to you half way through another busy week. Monday saw a fantastic Speech Day graduation ceremony for our Senior students with an audience of over 250 parents and other family members attending. It was a joy to host a full event after two years of modified occasions. As always, the speeches were of a very high calibre and our three student speeches – in Arabic, English and French – were exceptional! I congratulate all our graduates and wish them every success for the future. Today also marks the start of the Summer Camp and it is great to see the hundreds of young, excited faces on campus. I’m sure they are in for a very special summer experience. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in the organisation of Speech Day and the Summer Camp.

Thanks to the 40 parents who have contributed or pledged so far to #BHSSupports for teachers and support staff, I am now able to tell you the appeal has raised over 30% of the grand but achievable goal of $250,000.

Watch this space for upcoming extraordinary news which will no doubt encourage even more of you to give to this very meaningful appeal, guaranteeing additional monthly funds in fresh dollars to all our staff throughout the next academic year.

Thank you to all those who have supported so far and thank you to all those to come.

Yours sincerely,
David Gray
Principal
