Taking their names from the wild animal that roams Mount Lebanon and other parts of the country, the school’s junior rugby jackals are turning into a collective of Lebanese and international superstars and as effective at scoring tries and winning matches as jackals are at catching prey. Saturday saw them playing in the last round of the Lebanese junior rugby championships and them coming away with a win and a loss against strong opposition. With a few of the squad’s players unable to make the matches due to mid-year exam studies and the cold, snowy weather particularly up at high altitude where some live, who knows what this team can achieve in the coming weeks and months at full strength. Exciting times indeed!
