Society of Heads’ Meeting – March 2021

On Wednesday, 3 March, Principal David Gray attended the Society of Heads Regional International meeting which was attended by a total of five school Principals from Nigeria, Northern and Southern Cyprus and Luxembourg. It was a very useful meeting on International examinations mainly IGCSE, A Level and IB, as well as approaches to supporting staff and students through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The discussion on IB was particularly useful since they were able to provide the Chair, Hector MacDonald, the Head of Kyrenia School in Northern Cyprus, with information which he can take to an IB contact in the UK to hear the concerns of the assembled heads. Interestingly these concerns were expressed across all the schools which attended the meeting. Principal Gray hopes that by presenting a unified stand they shall be listened to.
