The school would like to sincerely thank the Friends’ School, Lisburn, Northern Ireland and, in particular, its junior pupils and supporters. The students completed a 3-mile walk on 21 June and, in doing so, raised an incredible total of £2870. On top of this, a further £600 has been raised from the sale of second-hand school uniform. In addition, extra Maths calculators (Casio FX-9860GIII) have been sourced for Brummana students, much needed for studying and examinations. BHS would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the students involved in these incredible activities and acts of kindness, and to all their generous supporters. Many thanks go also to their teachers and support staff. We are very fortunate to have such close and supportive Quaker school friends during our time of great need in Lebanon.

In September, Brummana High School will be welcoming both Friends’ School Chairman, Mr. Philip McDonagh, and the school’s Principal, Mr. Stephen Moore. They will be visiting Brummana for a week and Principal David Gray and the whole of our community are excited for their visit and to meet them. BHS would like to say thank you in advance to these future visitors for taking the time to visit our Quaker school here in Lebanon.
